The Land Registry have been operating as close to normal as possible during the coronavirus outbreak. We understand certain services have been prioritised during this time to allow specific transactions to proceed but this has resulted in delays in the processing of some applications. The Land Registry have advised that there are likely to be significant disruptions to the processing of applications to create a new titles and update existing tiles.
We are pleased to report though that we have been able to expedite delayed registration applications where the delay has been holding up subsequent transactions.
The Land Registry have today advised that by the end of the month they hope that all of their staff will have the equipment and software they need to carry out the full range of their day-to-day activities (from a current level of around 50-60%), and that they will begin to bring all of their services back to the levels that their customers would expect.
